Catherine S. Thomas, PhD

Bioscience Product Lead

Catherine has been part of the Mightex team for 5 years. She currently leads our Bioscience team across the fields of sales, marketing, customer support, and product development. In this role, she is building on her prior experience as an applications scientist and senior liaison and development scientist at Mightex. She is passionate about helping scientists reach their research goals using new and improved Mightex hardware and software solutions.

Originally from the UK, Catherine earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Sheffield in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging. She subsequently moved to Canada and completed her doctoral degree at the University of Calgary in Psychology. Her research focused on preclinical in vivo neurochemical recording (fast scan cyclic voltammetry, fiber photometry) and manipulation techniques (optogenetics, pharmacology) in the context of addiction-relevant behaviors.
