Infinity Port Expanders
IPX2 & IPX4

Mightex’s Infinity Port Expanders enable researchers to increase the number of individual input devices to their microscope infinity light path. The Infinity Port Expanders (IPX) can accept patterned illuminators, such as the Polygon Pattern Illuminator , widefield illuminators, TIRF and laser/confocal scanners devices to maximize versatility of a microscope system.

Our IPX2 solution provides a flexible, yet compact solution for your integration needs, while the IPX4 provides advanced flexibility and versatile configurations where 3 or more devices are being integrated to the system.

The IPX2 and IPX4 can be used in any commercial inverted or upright microscope (e.g. Leica, Nikon, Olympus and Zeiss), or on Mightex’s OASIS Macro/Micro/Implant systems.

Application Examples
  • Inverted Microscope:
    • In cases where the back port is already occupied by a traditional epi-fluorescence illuminator. The IPX provides a solution for customers who want to expand their existing imaging capabilities.
  • Upright Microscope:
    • In cases where an upright microscope is not equipped with epi-fluorescence illuminator the IPX can be used to provide widefield and patterned illumination capabilities onto the microscope. The IPX can provide flexible capabilities including addition of TIRF and confocal imaging.
  • OASIS Macro/Micro/Implant:
    • IPX provides significant flexibility in system configuration.
